My name is Kitty Rehberg and I am State President for the highly respected national Eagle Forum organization. Eagle Forum promotes policies placing God, Family and Country as top priorities.

Although I have served eight years as a Senator in the Iowa Legislature, promoting pro-family issues, I am not a professional politician.  I am a businesswoman who believes that government is intrusive.  I believe government should be limited, and once again become the servant of the people.  It is people who are productive—not government.  It is people who earn income, create jobs, and establish communities—not government.  It is people who make decisions—not government.  Government’s role is to provide safety and protection.   This means protecting the freedom to pursue individual opportunities and promoting an atmosphere in which our citizens can flourish.

I am now retired from the Legislature but my responsibility to this generation, and for the future, is to assist as the Eagle Forum Mission states, “to enable conservative and pro-family men and women to participate in the process of self-government and public policy-making so that America will continue to be a land of individual liberty, respect for family integrity, public and private virtue and private enterprise.”  I can do this through my e-mails to you, once a week, on national and state issues that need your input/action.
